"You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.... Remember, all I'm offering is the truth, nothing more."-The Matrix
America needs to take the red pill.

So I'm reading the latest
GALLUP poll which says that Bush is leading with likely voters BUT has a commanding lead with REGISTERED VOTERS.
I'm saying to myself.."self something about that reeks"
Just today I'm hearing about record
voter registration in heavy democratic
areas and that the same
cannot be said about republican areas.
Then I remember hearing at the move on phone conf that Gallup is a huge contributor to Bush.
So I
checked it out and...gasp what a surprise:
It is interesting to note that James Clifton who bought the Gallup organization is a big Republican donor. He gave thousands to Right Wing Republican Georgia Senate candidate Herman Cain. (See OpenSecrets.org) Cain ran as a huge backer of cutting taxes for the wealthiest Americans. This is essentially the same tax position supported with vigor by the Bush-Cheney ticket.
Dont trust the Polls gang!

WE'RE NOT BULLSHITTING YOU
The
evidance continues to mount gang:
A Pentagon-appointed panel has found that the US military will not be able to maintain its current peacekeeping commitments in Iraq and Afghanistan without a significant increase in the size of the armed forces or scaling back the objective of the stabilisation missions.

The ongoing operations in Iraq and Afghanistan are severely stretching the armed forces, a situation that some experts suggest may grow far worse within the next two years.
"In a year and a half or two years, there are going to be huge [personnel] shortages," said Andrew Exum, a retired Army captain who served in Afghanistan. "You can't keep these guys in for good."
Exum and others are worried that the stop-loss orders could dissuade current service members from re-enlisting and reduce new enlistments.
"The biggest effect will be on those who might have re-enlisted," Exum said. "The senior non-coms and majors and colonels are not going anywhere, but they are not the ones fighting this war," he said of the enlisted volunteers who make up the bulk of the fighting force-Military.com

Read then laugh or cry:
CRAWFORD, Texas (Reuters) - President Bush said he had no regrets about donning a flight suit to give his "Mission Accomplished" speech on Iraq in May 2003 and would do it all over again if he had the chance, according to excerpts from an television interview released on Sunday.
When asked by Fox News if he still would have put on a flight suit to declare major combat operations in Iraq over, Bush replied, "Absolutely."
When Bush gave his May 1 speech fewer than 150 Americans had died in the war. Since then more than 900 have died.
Is he sane? Maybe Kerry is right that Bush lives in Fantasyland:
Amid a rising U.S. death toll and a rash of abductions and beheadings in Iraq, some members of Bush's own Republican Party have criticized him for not doing enough to secure insurgent areas in Iraq sooner.
But Bush said he also did not regret the decision to withdraw U.S. forces from the rebel stronghold of Falluja earlier this year because he believed the conflict there could have jeopardized the June handover of sovereignty to Iraqis.
"A lot of people on the ground there thought that if we'd have gone into Falluja at the time, the interim government would not have been established," Bush said.
See gang that's just stupid "leadership". This BONEHEAD move that he made in Falluja is the primary reason why Fallujah is a mess today! Every single day he makes another bonehead move. Bonehead choice.
And it's these bonhead moves that's killing our troops.
But I know I know. "I love dubya cause he stays the course"
Buddy that's not steady governing. That's lambs to slaughter

This is about
as sad as it gets:
In one month, 3000 children died in Iraq; on average, that is 100 per day. Though many are innocent victims of incessant clashes, most succumb to malnourishment and unsanitary living conditions.
Yet Bush continues his lie to the world when he claims Iraq is fine.

DO THE MATH: DESTROYING THE GUARD+DESTROYING THE RESERVES+DESTROYING THE ARMY=DRAFT
Just read:
The real scope of the damage of Mr. Rumsfeld's decision to send the Guard to Iraq – 40% of the American troops in Iraq are now reservists or Guardsmen – will probably not be revealed until units return. One of the few already back saw 70% of its members leave the Guard immediately.
Now how do you expect we are going to replace those Guardsmen? We fell WAY short in our recruitment goal.
The
war is getting worse.
We don't have enough troops.
Gang, we at the Rat aren't about fear mongering, that's the province of the Bush administration. What we at the Rat ARE about is informing you. The focus we been having on the draft is to point out the tell tale signs of the inevitable.
Do the math.
