VOTER REGISTRATION UP!!!!
Gang as we at the Rat have been saying for a long while. Don't pay attention to polls. They are misleading and seriously flawed. We at the Rat have been saying this election is about one thing:
VOTER TURNOUT!
The only number we been wanting to hear has been voter registration numbers. In
tommorow's NY Times we get the first story (That I have seen) about voter registration. The news was what we expected:
"A sweeping voter registration campaign in heavily Democratic areas has added tens of thousands of new voters to the rolls in the swing states of Ohio and Florida, a surge that has far exceeded the efforts of Republicans in both states, a review of registration data shows.
The analysis by The New York Times of county-by-county data shows that in Democratic areas of Ohio - primarily low-income and minority neighborhoods - new registrations since January have risen 250 percent over the same period in 2000. In comparison, new registrations have increased just 25 percent in Republican areas. A similar pattern is apparent in Florida: in the strongest Democratic areas, the pace of new registration is 60 percent higher than in 2000, while it has risen just 12 percent in the heaviest Republican areas."
So if your a Democrat or just hate Bush, Get registered!
If your a Republican and believe in fantasyland as the pResident we encourage you to stay home. All is well....All is well....

Damn! Every single bloody day I read ANOTHER story that confirms WE WILL have a draft. Yesterday's
story in the NY Times being the latest example:
A Pentagon-appointed panel of outside experts has concluded in a new study that the American military does not have sufficient forces to sustain current and anticipated stability operations, like the festering conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan and other missions that might arise.
But wait it gets worse:
In assigning the project to the science board last January, Michael W. Wynne, an under secretary of defense, wrote: "Our military expeditions to Afghanistan and Iraq are unlikely to be the last such excursion in the global war on terrorism. We may need to support an ally under attack by terrorists determined to replace the legitimate government; we may need to effect change in the governance of a country that is blatantly sustaining support for terrorism; or we may need to assist an ally who is unable to govern areas of their own country, where terrorists may recruit, train and plan without interference by the legitimate government."
And finally,
this little Nugget from the Lexington Herald-Leader:
"The Army National Guard will fall 5,000 soldiers short of its recruiting goal this year, in part because fewer in the active-duty force are switching to part-time service, knowing how frequently Guard units are being sent to war zones, the Guard's top general said yesterday.
It will be the first time since 1994 that the Guard has missed its sign-up goal."
Keep sipping that right wing bullshit that were not gonna have a draft. A year from today you will be wishing you belived the Rat.

WHAT FUCKING WEED IS HE SMOKIN!?!?!?!
I seen some dumb ass shit in my life but this takes the cake. Our pREsident in chief is bragging with a straight face that he saw a "poll" in which Iraqis are more optomistic then Americans. The only Damn problem is the poll was taken by the "International
Republican Institute. Who does he think he's fucking fooling????
Damn,
this is one dumbass American:
"I saw a poll that said the right track/wrong track in Iraq was better than here in America," Bush said in a Rose Garden appearance with Iraq's interim Prime Minister Iyad Allawi.
"It was pretty darn strong. I mean, the people see a better future," he said. He was responding to a question about polls showing that a majority of Iraqis view the Americans as occupiers, not liberators in their violence-torn country.
How many
DEAD Iraqis does he need to see???
How many more
DEAD AMERICANS does he need to see?
Holy shit I have NEVER in my 37 years on God's Green Earth see a president as incompetent as Bush. DOES HE KNOW WHAT THE HELL HE IS DOIN?????
What an Ass.

BUSH MOCKING KERRY ON LEADERSHIP IS LIKE THE METS MOCKING THE YANKEES ON WINNING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
"The CIA laid out several scenarios. It said that life could be lousy, life could be OK, life could be better. And they were just guessing as to what the conditions might be like,"
Has the stones to mock Kerry's leadership!
What sort of FOOL who THREE YEARS AFTER 9/11 tells the nation that OUR CIA is just "GUESSING" when it comes to intelligence gathering?
Guessing? So what's next the Ouija Board? Magic 8-ball?
YOU WAS SUPPOSED TO FIX THIS SLAPPY!
This is a joke. Our country is at war and HIS CIA is using Taro cards.

Noting that the campaign Tuesday night neared Disney's "fantasy land" in Orlando, Fla.,
Kerry said:
"The difference between George Bush and me is that I drove by it. He lives in it."
