BEAM UP SCOTTY

"...a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing." --From Macbeth (V, v, 19)

A LITTLE TOO LATE, DON'T YA THINK????

The boys at The Rat found this hysterical.

This is straight out of the "We told you so" files.

Apparently many Bush voters now regret voting for the cult:
Just nine months after giving George W. Bush the crucial swing votes he needed to best John Kerry, political independents are bolting out of the Republican Big Tent. Angered by GOP meddling in the Terri Schiavo right-to-die case, reeling from record gasoline prices, and depressed by the escalating cycle of violence in Iraq and Afghanistan, unaligned voters are suddenly lining up with Democrats to give Bush the lowest ratings of his Presidency. The disenchantment extends beyond the White House to the GOP Congress: Only 31% of independents say Congress is in touch with their concerns, according to a June 14-15 Fox News/Opinion Dynamics Poll. Amid such dismal data, the only good news for Republicans is that the chronically disorganized Democrats have not convinced swing voters that they are any better -- at least not yet.

But that's cold comfort to the GOP. A June 24-26 Gallup Poll shows independents turning thumbs down to much of the President's second-term agenda, including his stay-the-course stance on Iraq, partial privatization of Social Security, and a pro-drilling energy policy. Equally worrisome: Just 15% of indies approve of Bush's handling of the economy, a June 19-22 American Research Group Poll found -- down from 44% last November.

To gauge the depth of independent anger, talk to Alan Rego Jr., an assistant supermarket manager in Cleveland. Rego, 23, twice voted for George W. Bush. The unaligned voter viewed Bush as a champion of small business and a stalwart in the war on terror. But he now sees a President bogged down in a Mideast quagmire and a Congress obsessed with a Religious Right agenda he does not share. "Congress is involved in too many social issues that it shouldn't be, like Terri Schiavo," he says. "It doesn't want to tackle the issues that it should be fixing, like tax reform, unemployment, and job creation."

Lol! Like Duh! Didn't you noticed how they were more worried about Gay married teorrist then about issues that affect us all? Or were you to scared to notice?

Suck it up America. You're stuck with this beast for the next 4 years, the only thing you can do now is reign his ass in next year when mid-terms roll around. But until then, enjoy your anal rape. And no, we don't have any lube.....

ENERGY INDEPENDENCE

New web site I want to clue you cats in on. Its called Americans for Energy Independence.

In short the folks at http://www.ei2025.org/ about making America safer. They realize that the BEST way to do that is by reducing our addiction to foreign oil and making us more self sufficient in our energy needs.

The more we are addicted the Mid East oil the more at risk we are.

ei2025 wants us to start a plan that will have America off Mid East oil in 25 years. Gang this can and MUST be done. It doesn't have to happen all at once. It can be done gradually, increase care fuel efficiency, hybrid vehicles, increase use in solar and wind power. Bio-fuels. All this can be done AND create new employment opportunities for Americans.

It's time America. Its time for us to lead the world on this issue.

QUOTES ON ROVE'S TREASON

Wanna know how fucked up what Karl Rove did?

Take a look at these quotes. They come from CIA operatives WHO ARE REPUBLICANS:

The misinformation being spread in the media about the Plame affair is alarming and damaging to the longterm security interests of the United States.  Republicans' talking points are trying to savage Joe Wilson and, by implication, his wife, Valerie Plame as liars.  That is the truly big lie.

For starters, Valerie Plame was an undercover operations officer until outed in the press by Robert Novak.  Novak's column was not an isolated attack.  It was in fact part of a coordinated, orchestrated smear that we now know includes at least Karl Rove.

Valerie Plame was a classmate of mine from the day she started with the CIA.  I entered on duty at the CIA in September 1985.  All of my classmates were undercover--in other words, we told our family and friends that we were working for other overt U.S. Government agencies.  We had official cover.  That means we had a black passport--i.e., a diplomatic passport.  If we were caught overseas engaged in espionage activity the black passport was a get out of jail free card.

A few of my classmates, and Valerie was one of these, became a non-official cover officer.  That meant she agreed to operate overseas without the protection of a diplomatic passport.  If caught in that status she would have been executed.
The lies by people like Victoria Toensing, Representative Peter King, and P. J. O'Rourke insist that Valerie was nothing, just a desk jockey.  Yet, until Robert Novak betrayed her she was still undercover and the company that was her front was still a secret to the world.  When Novak outed Valerie he also compromised her company and every individual overseas who had been in contact with that company and with her.-Larry Johnson

We also want to send a clear message to the political “operatives” responsible for “outing” Mrs. Wilson. Such action was treacherous, if not treasonous. ... Such action has allowed the less attractive aspects of politics to supersede the Government's responsibility to protect the citizens of this nation and the individuals who serve in difficult, dangerous covert capacities. This has set a sickening precedent. The “senior Administration officials” who did this have warned all U.S. intelligence officers and the intelligence community that any one individual may be compromised if providing information or factual analysis the White House does not like.

If left unpunished, this cowardly act [blowing Plame's cover] will not only hinder our efforts to recruit qualified individuals into the clandestine service, but it will have a far-reaching, deleterious effect on our ability to recruit foreign intelligence assets overseas. Who in their right mind would ever agree to become a spy for the United States when we cannot even protect our own undercover officers?-Larry Johnson, Michael Grimaldi and Brent Cavan

Ok? This isn't the fucking usual partisan game.

This is serious NATIONAL SECURITY SHIT! Rethuglicans tend to forget when the smoke clears we are AMERICANS first, and there comes a time we gotta set our partisan hats a side and do what's RIGHT for our country!

Protecting Karl Rove does nothing but endangers our country. If Rove was fired tomorrow our country will not suffer at all. If you are the most extremist of Rethuglicans, if Rove lost his job tomorrow, BUSH will STILL be president. There is NO DANGER of him being impeached. NONE! Your far right wing vision will still be on track.

This is one of those time we are doing what's RIGHT for our nation. Karl Rove must go!

I know its hard for you to take what we say seriously, cause you feel The Boys at The Rat are partisan. We are but we NEVER and I mean NEVER place our party above our country.  If this was happening in a Clinton Administration we would DEMAND that they DRAG his ass out in CHAINS ala Kunta Kinte.

And don't let Rethuglicans on TV fool you with their bullshit about Rove was only trying to help a reporter get the story straight. Thats a fucking lie. Rove has a habit of pulling shit like this. He was FIRED by George HW Bush cause he leaked a story to that asshole Novak, who WROTE the story outing Valarie Plame.

Rumor has it, that it was ROVE who made those forged documents that got Dan Rather busted.

Take a look at the GREAT film Horns and Halos to see how Karl Rove "helped" another reporter get the story straight.

Karl Rove wasn't about helping jack shit. He was about nailing Joe Wilson, cause Wilson made Bush look stupid.

Also don't fall for their smearing Joe Wilson tactics either. Both that and the "help reporter" jazz is straight out of the Rethuglican talking points (Or as the boys at The Rat like to say LYING POINTS)

What Rove did goes beyond the usual Democrats v Rethuglicans bullshit.

"Even though I'm a tranquil guy now at this stage of my life, I have nothing but contempt and anger for those who betray the trust by exposing the name of our sources. They are, in my view, the most insidious of traitors."-President George H.W. Bush

REP. PETER KING SUPPORTS TREASON

Just like tuesday's asshole, John Gibson, Rep. Peter King (R-NY) feels that those who betray our country deserve a medal:

SCARBOROUGH:  Now to the storm over the president's top adviser, Karl Rove.  Did he leak classified information to a reporter, and should he be bounced from the White House?

With me now to talk about that is Congressman Peter King.

Thank you so much for being with us, Congressman.

It's a fascinating case.  And I just got to start by saying, you and I served together during the Clinton administration.  We attacked the Clinton administration for not taking national security more seriously.  I got to just tell you, I mean, bottom line is, if Clinton's chief of staff or top adviser had leaked the identity of a CIA agent, you and I would be up in arms and say, Clinton had to fire that person immediately.

Should Karl Rove be treated at the same standard?

REP. PETER KING ®, NEW YORK:  No, in fact, I think Karl Rove should get a medal, Joe.  I really mean that.

I think this is much do about nothing,

Much a do about nothing? Revealing the identity of a CIA AGENT is much ado about nothing?

Oh so I guess the President is making shit up when he takes it so seriously that he said he would fire anyone involved.

Oh I guess that Bush's Justice Dept is wasting tax dollars cause they launched an investigation that was started by John Ashcroft and it continues under current Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez.

Oh the fact a reporter from the NY Times sits in jail because this is nothing.

And finally the President's own father must be a liberal panty waist blowhard who knows jack shit cause according to him what Rove did was tantamount to treason!

By the way gang the Scarborough in the above quote is former REPUBLICAN Congressman and current Right Wing talk show host Joe Scarborough and Joe Himself said he would be up in arms if this happened in a Democratic Administration. IN FACT a CURRENT Republican told Tim Russert that:

If this was a Democratic White House, we'd have Congressional hearings in a second.

So in other words Peter King you're such a lock step Yes man for the Bush cult that you place YOUR PARTY above our nation. Your a fucking disgrace.

If you want to know more about this scum bag read our boy Peter King Watch blog. He's got more juicy tidbit including how Peter King think his constituents (The people he works for and pays his salary) are PRIVLEDGE to have him. AND that when he doesn't like what they say instead of respectfully disagreeing with them, he shits on and insults them. This punk is, what, as Joe Scarbourgh says why:

Americans don't trust politicians

and

Because in cases like Karl Rove, all sides are circling the wagons for their ideological soul mates instead of telling American people the truth.

That my friend's is Peter King. GOP above the American people.

FOX NEWS SANCTIONS TREASON

The boys at The Rat have a standing rule:

"If you work on FAUX NEWS, you're an asshole"

I know its simplistic and some may say childish but thats how we feel.

We need no further evidance of that then residance asshole John Gibson who said AND WE QUOTE:

"Give Karl Rove a Medal" for outing a CIA Operative.

So in other words, Fox News feels that anyone who outs a CIA agent, (the people literally on the forefront of the War on Terror,) should be given a medal when they comitted an act of treason.

Look we don't throw the a word like "treason" out lightly. We just happen to agree with former President George H.W. Bush who said:

"Even though I'm a tranquil guy now at this stage of my life, I have nothing but contempt and anger for those who betray the trust by exposing the name of our sources. They are, in my view, the most insidious of traitors." (Get used to this quote. Your gonna see it alot from us)

If its good enough for him, its good enough for us.

Oh and BY THE WAY. If outing Valerie Plame was not a national security threat then why did the president say if he found out who did it that he would FIRE THEM??? "Now wait just a goddamn minute Span! The President never said "FIRE", some Bush apologist will and ARE saying. True, he didn't say it but tell us what this means:

QUESTION: Given -- given recent developments in the CIA leak case, particularly Vice President Cheney's discussions with the investigators, do you still stand by what you said several months ago, a suggestion that it might be difficult to identify anybody who leaked the agent's name?

THE PRESIDENT: That's up to --

QUESTION: And, and, do you stand by your pledge to fire anyone found to have done so?

THE PRESIDENT: Yes. And that's up to the U.S. Attorney to find the facts.

See that? When asked will he stand by his pledge to fire anyone who narked on Valarie Plame the president said "YES".

QUOTE OF THE DAY

"In his ‘story guidance’ to Matthew Cooper of Time, Rove did more damage to your safety than the most thumb-sucking liberal or guard at Abu Ghraib. He destroyed an intelligence asset like Valerie Plame merely to deflect criticism of a politician. We have all the damned politicians, of every stripe, that we need. The best of them isn’t worth half a Valerie Plame. And if the particular politician for whom Rove was deflecting, President Bush, is more than just all hat and no cattle on terrorism, he needs to banish Rove -- and loudly."-Keith Olbermann

KICK THAT NIGGA TO THE CURB

The boys at The Rat don't ask for much.

Chicks and beer. Thats about it.

Oh and one more thing.

A president who keeps his word.

Back in Sept, 2003 the president had this to say about leaks in his Administration:

Let me just say something about leaks in Washington. There are too many leaks of classified information in Washington. There's leaks at the executive branch; there's leaks in the legislative branch. There's just too many leaks. And if there is a leak out of my administration, I want to know who it is. And if the person has violated law, the person will be taken care of.

Yes! We like that! Sounds gangsta! As if the prez was gonna roll down Pennsylvania Ave and bust a cap in somebody's ass!
Well now we find out the person whose ass said cap should be busted in, is the President right hand man Karl Rove!

Is the President gonna be a man of his WORD (for once) and Kick that mutha fucka to the curb??

And we are not the only ones who feel this way. We quote that great liberal President George H. W. Bush, the president's daddy on how he feels about those who betray our nation ala Karl Rove:

Even though I'm a tranquil guy now at this stage of my life, I have nothing but contempt and anger for those who betray the trust by exposing the name of our sources. They are, in my view, the most insidious of traitors."

Damn! That some cold righteous shit! But on the Real, Bush's pop has a point and the president basically backed up his daddy with his statements on 9/03. SO what's up mister prez? Gonna be a true man of your word and fire that bitch ass Rove? Or Puss out cause your scared of what Karl might do? Time to man up!
