GUARD MISSED ITS RECRUITMENT MARK, NO COMMENT FROM THE BUSH VOTER

Starting to sound like a broken record but AGAIN...the Bush voter's FAILURE to come to our nation aid is a fucking national disgrace of biblical proportions. Their continued refusal to join our armed forces is beginning (If not already) to be a SERIOUS problem:

The Army National Guard, a cornerstone of the U.S. force in Iraq, missed its recruiting goal for at least the ninth straight month in June and is nearly 19,000 soldiers below its authorized strength, military officials said Monday.

The Army Guard was seeking 5,032 new soldiers in June but signed up only 4,337, a 14 percent shortfall, according to statistics released Monday by the Pentagon. It is more than 10,000 soldiers behind its year-to-date goal of almost 45,000 recruits, and has missed its recruiting target during at least 17 of the last 18 months.

Which makes this little confrontation tragically funny:

In a prelude to Operation Yellow Elephant, he was "embedded" at the 2004 Republican National Convention to talk about Iraq. As you might guess there were a few Young Republicans on hand to represent the up and coming youth movement that is the future of the GOP. He asked one young attendee, Shedrick Gavin of the "Florida Republican Youth Majority", if he would go fight in the war. When he answered matter-of-factly, "Of course not", Rieckhoff asked him why not.

Video-WMP only-(cross-posted at Operation Yellow Elephant)

Gavin's response was, and this is as close to an exact quote as I could get with all of his stammering, "I mean I'm... I'm here! No, I'm a, I'm a re... I don't believe in killing. I, I, you know, I, I'm a son of a, son of a, son of a preacher so I don't... it says 'thou shalt not kill'

As our friend Ben says: The clip ends with  Karl Rove cackling sinisterly while sitting at Sean Hannity's table in "Talk Show Row". 'Bout sums it up.

Yup, the cocksucker actually pulled out the "thou shall not kill" card and that is Judas Goat Karl Rove cackling about Young Republicans fleeing our nation in a time of need. Aint that some shit.

In short all we ask is On July 15th, no matter where you be (e.g. 9pm Pacific, 10pm Mountain, 11pm Central, 12am Eastern) give a pal/family member/neighbor any old casserole and bang away for 15 minutes. We hope to repeat this every THIRD FRIDAY of the MONTH till our troops come home.

The whole idea and concept can be read in our header. So mark it on your calender gang 7/15, Bang yer pots and pans!

OPERATION YELLOW ELEPHANT HAS A SITE

The great blog, Jesus' General, started Operation Yellow Elephant a couple of weeks ago.

OYE if you don't know is to get Young Republicans (and other Bush voters) to do their patriotic duty, join the military and fight in a war they wanted.

The Rat quickly and proudly joined the OYE effort. Well now due to all the hard work OYE has grown from a small idea to a movment!

A movement that now has its own blog:

FEAR

The fear mongers are out again.

Boy oh boy. The fear mongers in the Bush cult and their apologist are out in force today!

You see them already out on the propaganda News Networks (CNN, MSNBC and those bastards on FAUX News) screaming about the hate we saw inflicted on the innocent people in London.

The scumbags are already playing right into Al Quedas hands by telling Americans they need to be scared. Where is the inspiration? Where is the leadership? Where are they telling us all we have to fear is fear itself???

No. They are out in front exploiting this as much as they can.

Take this asshole Brian Kilmeade on FAUX, he was BRAGGING about:

I think that works to our advantage, in the Western world's advantage, for people to experience something like this together, just 500 miles from where the attacks have happened.

What sort of rat fucker thinks that way???

Then later on his partner had this to say:

VARNEY: It puts the Number 1 issue right back on the front burner right at the point where all these world leaders are meeting. It takes global warming off the front burner. It takes African aid off the front burner. It sticks terrorism and the fight on the war on terror, right up front all over again.

KILMEADE: Yeah.

Yeah baby! TERROR IS BACK WITH A VENGANCE!! YEAH HAWW!!! Time for FAUX News to score rating off American fears! YES!!!

Take a look at this motherless bastard, Brit Hume:

I mean, my first thought when I heard -- just on a personal basis, when I heard there had been this attack and I saw the futures this morning, which were really in the tank, I thought, "Hmmm, time to buy."

WOW! People are dying and he's thinking about buying pork bellies.

FAUX isn't the only ones doing this. I heard some skag on WABC radio talking about Bush being a war time President once again.

Then on Primetime on ABC they had Chicken Hawk George Pataki trying to alleviate the fears of Americans by pumpin up Americans fears.

My boy who I work with, is about as apolitical as a human being can get. HE has no horse in any race. He votes but I defy you to tell me who he votes for. But my boy today came up to me and said this about the media "They are doing the work for the terrorist". In other words, they want America to be scared.

WAR PIG GOVERNOR'S SON WANT TO FOLLOW IN DADDY FOOTSTEPS

The Governor of THE GREAT STATE OF NEW YORK, George Pataki's son, wants to follow in his daddy's footstep  by punking out of serving our nation in combat.

Teddy Pataki was recently commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Marines. God Bless him. BUT Teddy is searching for a Law school deferment so he doesn't have to serve his nation, when it needs him the most...NOW:

I'm sure Teddy Pataki is a nice young man. And the fact that he signed up for the Marine Corps' officers training program while he was still an undergraduate at Yale suggests a willingness to serve his country.

But I would be really mad if 22-year-old Pataki, whose father is Gov. George Pataki, got to skate through the next three years of the Iraq conflict in law school.

The governor, who proudly announced last week that his son has been commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Marines, also noted that Teddy Pataki hopes to defer his military service for three years until he finishes law school.

Coming only days after 20-year-old Marine Cpl. Ramona Valdez of the Bronx was killed by a suicide bomber in Fallujah, to suggest that Lt. Pataki be allowed to pass the next three years studying torts and contracts seemed positively obscene.

It was another example of how politicians wage war but expect other people's children to fight them.

Sheryl we could not say it any better. There must be a price to pay when you help pimp a war. One of  them should be if your child is in the military then he should serve his nation in combat. God Bless him and that he never suffer a scratch on his body, just like every other American serving in Iraq. However if he goes to Iraq what ever happens to him would be up to God.

But, if George Pataki has sleepless nights every single day his son is in Iraq. If the phone rings and it makes his heart skip. If watching the News about insurgency takes years off his life. Then so be it. He helped pimped this war. Maybe the experience will teach George to be a little less anxious when pimping a war other people's (Or his own) children have to fight.

But, The Boys at the Rat know that Teddy is a Governor's son. He's got as much of chance fighting in Iraq as the Bush twin's do.

"Some folks are born made to wave the flag,
Ooh, they're red, white and blue.
And when the band plays "Hail to the chief",
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord,

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, son.
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, no,"-Creedance Clearwater Revival

SCUMMY JUST PLAIN SCUMMY

The beautiful woman Cindy Sheehan of Gold Star FAMILIES FOR PEACE writes about her distasteful meeting with the cult leader. I had to take a shower after reading it:

Instead of a kind gesture or a warm handshake, Sheehan said she immediately got a taste of Bush arrogance when he entered the room and "in a condescending tone and with a disgusting loud Texas accent," said: "Who we’all honorin’ here today?"

"Honorin'"??? How about offerin' her som' Barbecue while yer at it. Dinkle berry her son DIED for your dumbass war! How about some decency???

"His mouth kept moving, but there was nothing in his eyes or anything else about him that showed me he really cared or had any real compassion at all. This is a human being totally disconnected from humanity and reality. His eyes were empty, hollow shells and he was acting like I should be proud to just be in his presence when it was my son who died for his illegal war! It was one of the most disgusting experiences I ever had and it took me almost a year to even talk about it," said Sheehan in a telephone conversation from Washington D.C. where she was attending a July 4th anti-war rally.

Sheehan said the June 2004 private meeting with the President went from bad to worse to a nightmare when Bush acted like he didn’t even want to know her name. She said Bush kept referring to her as ‘Ma’ or ‘Mom’ while he "put on a phony act," saying things like ‘Mom, I can’t even imagine losing a loved one, a mother or a father or a sister or a brother.’

"The whole meeting was simply bizarre and disgusting, designed to intimidate instead of providing compassion. He didn’t even know our names," said Sheehan. "Finally I got so upset I just looked him in the eye, saying ‘I think you can imagine losing someone. You have two daughters. Imagine losing them?’ After I said that he just looked at me, looked at me with no feeling or caring in his eyes at all."

Sheehan said what really upset her about the meeting is that Bush appeared to become annoyed and even angry at her daughter Carley, 25, who also attended the White House get-together.

"My daughter said to him directly ‘I wish I could bring my loved one back’ and he said something like ‘so do we.’ Later she told me that after he made his remark he gave her one of the filthiest looks she had ever had gotten in her life.

Lord help us. This person is the most powerful man on the planet...And whats sad most Americans like that.
