RIGHT WING HACK WEAK ASS EXCUSE
Right Wing plagerist hack Jeff Gannon gave this weak ass excuse on why he "liberally used verbiage" when he coppied and pasted his articles on Bush from White House talking points:
The Lefties are going bonkers over this posting at MMFA: Hysteria! Just for the record, all material in these articles come from White House PRESS RELEASES, (you know, those things that a PRESS OFFICE puts out for use by the PRESS) and speech transcripts that are attributed to and accurately reflect the position of the President. In many cases I ha=-ve liberally used the verbiage provided on key aspects of the issue because it is the precise expression of where the White House stands - free of any "spin." It's the ultimate in journalistic honesty - unvarnished and unfiltered. If only others would be as forthcoming.
As Gregor would say "Nigga please!" Stop mutha fucker stop! You got busted.
What you did wasn't "liberal use of verbiage" you took exact quotes and used it in your article! You didn't indicate that it came from the White House you claimed it as your own slap nut! How hard is it to use quotation marks? How hard is it for you to tell us this is from The White House????
Plus what makes it worse, dumbass, is you criticize other journalist for doing the same exact thing!!!
Not only are you a dunce but a fucking hypocritical dunce....Stupid.

A third "journalist" was busted as a paid whore for the Bush cult:
One day after President Bush ordered his Cabinet secretaries to stop hiring commentators to help promote administration initiatives, and one day after the second high-profile conservative pundit was found to be on the federal payroll, a third embarrassing hire has emerged. Salon has confirmed that Michael McManus, a marriage advocate whose syndicated column, "Ethics & Religion," appears in 50 newspapers, was hired as a subcontractor by the Department of Health and Human Services to foster a Bush-approved marriage initiative. McManus championed the plan in his columns without disclosing to readers he was being paid to help it succeed.
DAMN! We love it when we are right! One can only pray that this trail of deceit and propaganda will eventually lead to FOX NEWS.
Rat is already Posting odds on which right wing hack on Fox will get busted:
Alan Combs: 50-1
Sean Hannity: 2-5
Loofah Mitt O'Reilly: 1-500 (You bet 500 you win a dollar)
Oh and by the way according to Media Matters there might be a 4th "journalist" who if he was not paid, should be paying someone else, cause he wrote a couple stories for..ahem..I mean on Bush that look pretty much a copy and paste job sans the quotation marks. Oh and get this, the mutha actually has the stones to criticize journalist that he believes:
"work off of the talking points provided them from the opposition" (Democrats)
You cant make this shit up.

PULITZER PRIZE WINNER AGREES WITH THE RAT: THEY ARE A CULT
As you know we been calling the Bush Administration a cult for a long while. A cult of greed and evil:
I do not feel the rank and file Reps are evil or would tolerate this reprehensible behavior if they knew about it (Thank you Left wing media for again FAILING TO DO YOUR JOB)
But the point is the GOP leadership are not Americans. They are a cult that hate America. Yeah I know that's a harsh statement but how do you explain the blatantly lying, the smearing, the abuse of power. How do you explain the actions of Sinclair and how the GOP controlled FCC is just allowing this to happen? Its an illegal campaign contribution yet NOTHING is being done about it.
Yet if CBS broadcast Fahrenheit 9/11 there would be a congressional investigation.
This cult hates America.
They want to impose their views on America. They don't want to defeat our vision. They don't believe in fair play.
They want to defeat America.
Taking the votes out of the hands of Americans is not an American value.
Its evil.
Since our original post we added a new member: every single Bush voter.
When The Rat says something, people can laugh it off as the drunken ramblings of degenerates. Most of the time that's true.
However when a Legendary Pulitzer Prize winner happens to agree with The Rat maybe you people should pause and listen.
There's a lot of anxiety inside the -- you know, our professional military and our intelligence people. Many of them respect the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as much as anybody here, and individual freedom. So, they do -- there's a tremendous sense of fear. These are punitive people. One of the ways -- one of the things that you could say is, the amazing thing is we are been taken over basically by a cult, eight or nine neo-conservatives have somehow grabbed the government. Just how and why and how they did it so efficiently, will have to wait for much later historians and better documentation than we have now, but they managed to overcome the bureaucracy and the Congress, and the press, with the greatest of ease. It does say something about how fragile our Democracy is.
Scary.

ANOTHER RIGHT WING HACK WHORING FOR THE BUSH CULT
In 2002, syndicated columnist Maggie Gallagher repeatedly defended President Bush's push for a $300 million initiative encouraging marriage as a way of strengthening families.
"The Bush marriage initiative would emphasize the importance of marriage to poor couples" and "educate teens on the value of delaying childbearing until marriage," she wrote in National Review Online, for example, adding that this could "carry big payoffs down the road for taxpayers and children."
But Gallagher failed to mention that she had a $21,500 contract with the Department of Health and Human Services to help promote the president's proposal. Her work under the contract, which ran from January through October 2002, included drafting a magazine article for the HHS official overseeing the initiative, writing brochures for the program and conducting a briefing for department officials.
"Did I violate journalistic ethics by not disclosing it?" Gallagher said yesterday. "I don't know. You tell me." She said she would have "been happy to tell anyone who called me" about the contract but that "frankly, it never occurred to me" to disclose it.
Are you fucking kidding me??? "Did I violate journalistic ethics by not disclosing it?" Ya gotta wonder did she say it with straight face. She actually wondered if she violated any journalistic ethics That's either pathetic or indicative of the "journalism" that goes on at all Murdoch owned publications and networks.
I took a couple communications classes when I was in college and I recall several times during our discussion about journalism that YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO INFORM YOUR READERS OF ANY CONFLICT OF INTERESTS!! Thats Reporter 101 crap! The stuff they tell you after "make sure you spell correctly". Ya know, the Shit that FOX NEWS almost never does.

On Buzzflash today Cindy Sheehan of Gold Star Families For Peace wrote a moving post about how she attempted to meet Don Rumsfeld to speak with him, but was denied access to the man who helped send her son to death for a lie:
We were all meeting in DC to protest the inauguration and we thought it would be a good time to meet with Donald Rumsfeld. We have many questions to ask him about our loved ones' deaths and we deserve to have some answers. I think it is our right as Americans and grieving families to have these answers. For example, why were the children of this country sent to fight a war without the proper training, equipment or armor? Why were our children sent to fight a war that had no basis in reality? Why are American children still over there fighting a war, and dying in a war, when all the reasons for the war have been proven false? When is this administration going to bring the rest of our children home before it's too late for their families?
If we were granted an audience with him, we didn't really expect Mr. Rumsfeld to be truthful with us or even polite to us considering his past history of being so sarcastically untruthful and blatantly rude. The real reason I wanted to meet with Rumsfeld was so he could see the face of my son, Spc Casey Sheehan, who was killed in Sadr City on 04/04/04. I wanted him to look me in the face and see my red swollen eyes and to see all the lines that grief has etched. I wanted him to see the unbearable pain his ignorance and arrogance has caused me and my family. I wanted him to know that his actions have terrible consequences.
Our letters, phone calls, faxes, and e-mails to the Pentagon were to no avail: we received no response. So in conjunction with Military Families Speak Out (MFSO) we decided to go to the Pentagon and try and meet with someone, anyone. We were met at the parking lot by a couple of dozen of police officers blocking our way. We were told that we weren't allowed to go into the Pentagon because we didn't go through the proper protocol to request a meeting!!
I find it so ironic that with all the tight security for the events in DC this week that enough time and energy was mustered to stop families in mourning so forcefully at the Pentagon. I also find it ironic that if I were a wealthy Republican who had donated large sums of money for the "re"-election of the President, I could have had access to all the big wigs at the lavish parties -- but I, whose son paid the ultimate price of his precious life to this country, can't even get within a half of a mile from the man who sent him to die.
She has a good point.
By the way if you didn't know, a Gold Star flag is given to the families of those who died in combat. Their voices whether pro or con for this war should be treated with respect by anyone. You may not agree with what they say but be aware they paid a price to say it. A price most of us are unwilling to pay. Just ask the Cult leader.
But we at The Rat have the ultimate respect for anyone who sacrifice for our nation. Thaws why were giving Gold Star Families For Peace a permanent link.

"I am left now with a single word seared into my consciousness: accountability. The chance to hold our administration's feet to that flame has passed. But what of our citizenry? We are the ones who truly failed. We shut down our ability to think critically, to listen, to converse and to act. We are to blame.
Even with every prewar assumption having been proved false, today more than 130,000 U.S. soldiers are trying to stay alive in a foreign desert with no clear mission at hand.
At home, the sidelines are overcrowded with patriots. These Americans cower from the fight they instigated in Iraq. In a time of war and record budget deficits, many are loath to even pay their taxes. In the end, however, it is not their family members who are at risk, and they do not sit up at night pleading with fate to spare them."-Dante Zappala
