I was enjoying my morning coffee. Watching my new cat scratch the hell out of my couch, when I logged on Yahoo news and read this horrific story:
The Bush administration is preparing plans for possible lifetime detention of suspected terrorists, including hundreds whom the government does not have enough evidence to charge in courts, The Washington Post reported Sunday.
When did this stop being America? When did we repealed the 5th Amendment? Is this what you traded your soul for America? Is this the security you want? We are now at the place were a person can be held in prison for LIFE even if we can't find a reason to detain him.
You may feel that it could just apply to foreign terrorist. Not true since we have an American citizen named Jose Padilla in jail today who has not been charged with a crime and has no access to a lawyer.
Is he a terrorist? Don't know and if he was I want him to receive the harshest penalty we can hand down but I do want him to get his day in court! What we have now is the Bush cult stating that we can incarcerate an American without Due process.
It means in Bush World ANYONE can be called a terror suspect and be held in prison for who ever long they want as long as they THINK you MIGHT be connected in some way with a possible terror group or plot. That's the criteria to haul your ass in jail for ever and without a trial.
Karl Marx once said that "Religion is the opium for the masses", in this day and age that true, but I will add FEAR is another drug they use to seduce and control us.
America, is a sheep. It will be lead anywhere by leaders who rule by fear and lies instead of inspiration and courage.
The Bush cult uses fear to erode our civil liberties. They claim that the so called war on terror will NEVER END. As if terrorism started on 9/11. Terrorism has been around since the dawn of civilization. Our country was started by terrorist. What do you think the Boston Tea party was? It was a terrorist act against the King of England. Now before any of you right wing asshole start claiming I am comparing the Boston Tea Party with 9/11 I have this to say to you: Stop being a stupid asshole.
Boston Tea party while being a terrorist act to the King of England it was an act in the cause of freedom. 9/11 was about a bunch of butchers killing innocents cause their twisted leader OSAMA BIN LADEN hates our fucking guts. SO save your FOX NEWS spin on my words. (I really hate people who do that shit)
Back to my original point. Terrorism has always been with us and it will always be with us. 9/11 the terrorist got lucky shot in. Lucky in that probably any other president would have ratcheted up our security after reading the August 6, 2001 Presidential Daily Briefing, they just happened to pick the time when we have the only president who didn't.
Just because Osama nailed us on 9/11 doesn't mean we should become a fascist state in the name of security. We can be smart and safe but we mustn't sacrifice our freedom. That's not what America is about.
We are better then this.

The Rat's New Year resolution is for us to continue to expose and educate all; on the pimps, hustlers and thieves that ruin our nation.
To draw out and challenge the weak willed wussie that claim to defend the least of us.
Be they Democrats or Rethuglican matters not to The Rat. What matters to The Rat is the good of our nation and the benefit of all mankind.

As such, in the minds of the Religious Right, Bush's war in Iraq is a holy crusade. America is fast taking on the shape of the old Holy Roman Empire and President Bush is quickly morphing into a modern day Caesar.

Bush was whining like a little bitch that America kicks out when the world is in need:
Speaking to reporters at his Crawford ranch, Mr. Bush said the widespread destruction and 76,000 confirmed deaths resulting from the Indian Ocean tragedy were ``beyond our comprehension.''
The U.S. has contributed $35 million in immediate cash relief and joined a coalition with India, Japan and Australia to coordinate international relief efforts, he said.
He criticised a suggestion made by a U.N. official that the world's richest nations had been ``stingy'' in their relief support. ``I felt like the person who made that statement was very misguided and ill-informed,'' he said. ``We're a very generous, kindhearted nation, and what you're beginning to see is a typical response from America.'' The U.S. contributed $2.4 billion to disaster relief efforts around the world in 2004, he said.
The 15 Million the Bush cult originally wanted to send and the additional 20 million that we we're shamed into STILL makes us cheap bastards. WE ARE THE RICHEST COUNTRY ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH and all we can send is the equivalent of the left side of the Yankees infield for one year is disgraceful!!!
Bush can bullshit his way around it but 35 million is chump change. Not to mention Bush was asleep at the wheel AGAIN (His first time was when he struggled to read "My Pet Goat" on 9/11)
Over 100,000 humans are dead! Countless others are in danger. Yet this fucking alleged Christian President does JACK SHIT. Don't fucking tell me that this is a Christian country when this country is giving pennies to those who are suffering. Bush is a fucking false prophet. The kind Jesus warned us about.

We're keepin it pretty lite for the next few days. New Year's coming up. Fer a couple reasons:
A) I got a cat and
B) I think Gregor said it best:

CHRISTMAS EVE. HELP THE TROOPS AND THEIR FAMILIES
Not going to attack the cult today. Its Christmas Eve and they aren't worth it. Lets pray that the learn the truth teachings of Christ:
Peace and love.
Anyway enough about those rat bastards. I'd like you guys to help our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Move On gave me the heads up on couple drives that are dedicated to helping the troops, their families and the Iraqi people.
The first is the USO's Operation Phone Home. Send some loot so the guys can call their folks (I know I know. The fact they have to pay to call home makes us want to vomit. But..no..I wont go there)
The second is the Red Cross' Red Crescent Societies. This fund was set up specifically to help the people of Iraq.
This final one I learned from my buddies at Operation Truth:
Unsung Heroes is an organization that supports the families of troops. There are over 900 American children who are orphans because their parent sacrificed for us. Lets make their holidays as bright as possible.
No matter what you feel about this God forsaken war, our troops are not responsible for the acts that are committed in our name. Some have paid a price for our actions:

A price few of us have the courage to pay. They willingly sacrifice their lives and their bodies in the name of the American people.
Their bravery is their gift to us. When they joined the military they swore to protect and defend America. They gave for us so we don't have to.
Thank you all who have died and sacrificed for America. Its a gift we can never repay....

One of the architects of the quagmire known as the Iraqi OCCUPATION, Gen. Richard Myers, offered this lame ass excuse on why we got nailed in Mosul:
This attack, of course, is the responsibility of insurgents, the same insurgents who attacked on 9/11, the same type of insurgents who attacked in Beirut, the same insurgents who -- type of insurgents who attacked the Cole, Khobar Towers, and the list goes on.
This is straight oout of the Bush cult's playbook. Every time you look like and incompetent fuck, just pull out the 9/11 card.
Lousy economy? Blame 9/11
Reason for invading Iraq? Blame 9/11
Trailing in polls? Blame 9/11 on Kerry and the Democrats.
Piss poor security for our troops in Iraq? Blame 9/11 terrorist
Latest rumor is Big Unit to Yankees trade went in the shitter cause the 9/11 terrorist refused to exercised their no bombing clause.
This is just Myers, Rumsfeld and the rest of the Bush cult trying to misdirect Americans away from asking:
1) How did an Iraqi slip past base security and exploded a bomb?
2) Why after numerous warnings that our guys were still eating in a TENT?
3) Why were there so many delays in Halliburton's construction of the new CONCRETE mess hall? It was supposed to be completed by Christmas, (so it wouldn't have mattered anyway) BUT by all accounts its NO WHERE NEAR COMPLETION!!!
4) How can Iraq hold elections next January when we cant defend our own bases?
5) Why is Rumsfeld still in charge?
6) WHY ARE WE IN IRAQ???
These are the questions that must be answered.
But they won't.
They know the answers will reveal the extent of the massive incompetence on the civilian leadership of the military (i.e. Bush and Rumsfeld). So they blame it on the two things they have that Americans will suck up like flies to shit: Anything 9/11 related and fear.
